any one else come across this
A normal install of windows xp pro and norton internet security 2004. Everything runs fine for a while stops hacks etc. Then as time goes on say a week web access begins to slow down to a point ebay takes 5 minutes to load a page this is on cable 600K link usualy. In that time nothing changes to pc or settings. Reboots make no difference But if I remove norton internet security web access returns to normal pages load in seconds as they should. The PC is shutdown during the day and only on when I use it. Anyone else has experienced this.

I would recommend trying an update for norton. Perhaps also clearing your temporary internet files, cookies, etc.; get rid of temp garbage. If your temp internet files folder is set too high, your speed will greatly suffer as files build up. Perhaps check out norton's web page, I am sure they have live support if all else fails.

I would uninstall NIS2004 and download and install a free version Sygate, Zone Alarm or Kerio. If the new firewall does not develope the problem, you can then apply for a refund from Symantec.
