I bought Norton Internet Security for my laptop, but I have not been able to get it to activate, so it is not working. When I click on the link to activate, nothing ever happens. I don't get the eroor meaasge or anything. I have contacted the mfr. and Norton and neither has bene any help. What can I do? Why won't it avctivate?
Exactly what happens when you try to activate Norton? Does the blinking dashes appear while it is trying to connect to Symantec's server? What version of "liveupdate" is installed in add/remove programs in the control panel?

I click on the "Next" button to activate, the hour glass comes up, and that's it. I have left it run for hours and hours, I have completely deleted and reloaded Norton, I have done everything I can think of. The version of live update installed is 2.6 does that help? Thanks!
