I am thinking of getting Norton Ghost for my pc. But I have now come across Norton Save & Restore and they seem they same. Or is there a difference?

Havent tried it before, buat from what I read, I think it is a so-so product.
Ghost (and Acronis TrueImage) on the other hand, are the default backup tools used in companies. I would say: go with Ghost

Save and Restore is Ghost on steroids. If you look at the symantec website, you will find that S&R does everything that Ghost can do, too. On top of that, you can make backups from specific files and folder without having to store everything else on your hard disk.

free your mind.

Okay, after what you both had to say I checked out the Symantec website again, and it's true that Save and Restore does everything that Ghost does and then some.

So, since it seems that Ghost is a good and well-known product, I decided to go for Save and Restore assuming it wouldn't be too bad.

And it wasn't! It's super easy to use, and it only took me a few mouseclicks and now I am doing backups on the DVD burner once a week. I am thinking of getting an external harddisk, too. (Not just for backups, but I would probably make a quick copy of everything important once a day if I got one.)
