hi, I'm having a probelem with notrton 2003 auto protect as well, i've tried reinstalling twice already. bascally the Autoprotect is a red "off" and ive tried going into options and enabling it there, no effect once i restart. also the nortion antivirus doesnt appear on the desktop tray (bottom right hand cornor next to the time on the screen) it came up with an error message and directed me to their homepage, where it told me to go into the start menu, and then "run" and then modify the services in the adminisator tools from automatic to manual. still doesnt enable. i think it may have someting to do with the LAN connection, cos when i reinstalled my winXP (long story.... )it automatically detected the LAN, but before my friend (IT guy) did it, and he set up the LAN connections on my PC, and auto protect worked. anyone help? kw
