I bought an Acer Aspire and it came with Norton back up and Mcafee trial. How do I get rid of the Norton back up? I tried uninstalling it. Didn't work. It runs slow!!
Oh and I called a windows free service and it was free to diagnose but the guy said I needed a special tool to get rid of Norton back up
use the Norton uninstaller from their website:

and if that doesn't work, try revo uninstaller...that WILL remove it, no problem. I would also get rid of McAfee, that may also be slowing down your PC. Then i would suggest Avast Free:
