Hello everyone. I would appreciate some help diagnosing the following problem.
I am unable to run Hijackthis because it says its not a valid WIN32 Application. This message comes up when I try to open the program. Some of the other symptoms are:
-Unable to start in safe mode. Blue screen comes up and computer restarts very fast. -Unable to click setting to view Hidden File -Unable to install AV programs because WIN32 message pops up and says its not a valid WIN32 application. -Sound card no longer works. -Internet Explorer EXTREMELY slow.

Just tried and after restarting computer, it gives an error and says that it was unable to restore to previous setting. I might just have to wipe the whole thing and start from scratch. But I want to save my documents first, and I dont want to take the virus with me. Thanks

I use an external USB HD enclosure for data recovery. You remove the drive and connect it to another PC. They cost about $40 and are well worth the money.
