No programs will open.

Specs: Windows XP
About a week ago I was performing a google search (via Mozilla) and clicked on one of the links, which redirected me to a 3rd party search website. After that happened, all of my Windows Security Center programs started running and said that they have detected multiple issues. I felt that this may have been malware so I have installed Spyware Doctor and Glary Utilities, as well as done a xp.exe registry fix. All of this had to be done in safe mode because no programs will open in regular mode, or if they do, they immediately crash. In addition, my system restore will not run either, even in safe mode through the command prompt. My virus scan results always seem to reveal 3 or 4 "tracking" programs that they say they will remove, but each additional scan indicates that they still exist. Please help me to fix this problem so I can get out of safe mode! Thank you so much for your help.

Please download RogueKiller
Save it to your Desktop.

Now, close all open programs.

For XP, simply double-click RogueKiller.exe
For Vista/Windows 7, right click the file and select: Run as Administrator

When prompted, type 1 and hit Enter.

An RKreport.txt should appear on your Desktop.

Note: If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe

Please post the contents of the >RKreport.txt< in your reply.

We will take further action based on the results of this report.

Retired - Doin' Dis, Dat, and slapping malware.
