I'm unable to run any program on the computer (laptop) after the memory appears to be all used up. There is not enough programs or files on the computer to possibly take up all the memory, and I double checked this. It happened after my daughter had clicked on a link within Facebook.
And I have McAfee Antivirus software on the computer, which apparently didn't catch it.
I've tried everything I could think of to eliminate the virus, including going into the registry while logged in under Safe Mode. Couldn't find anything suspicious. Looked through Program Files and Internet Explorer files also...and nothing.
Someone told me it may be a "rabbit" virus, but I thought that was an *older* type of virus that doesn't really exist anymore. At any rate, how do I fix this?
