Trojan Remover - Update
-------------
Version: 4.7.8 - 22nd July 2002
Copyright (c) 1999-2002 Simply Super Software - All Rights Reserved
-------------1. What's New
-----------------------Version 4.7.8
-----------------------
a) Previously, the first time a drive/directory scan was asked for, the user would be presented with a selection screen from which to choose the available file extensions that Trojan Remover could scan. This screen was confusing for new users. Now, all file extensions that Trojan Remover can scan are included by default. A user may still exclude file extensions (including archive files) if required [for instance to speed up a scan] - any previous scan preferences will be retained.b) Added a new routine to the Updater program, ensuring that it now correctly writes support information to the Windows XP Add/Remove Programs dialog for Trojan Remover. The Updater Program will now also show its version information in the screen title.
c) Fixed a bug whereby Trojan Remover would raise a Fatal Exception if an attempt was made to rename a file that did not have a specific file extension.
d) Added a routine to rename the additional file dropped by the Internet Worm FRETHEM.
Version 4.7.7
-----------------------
a) Correctly implemented the removal of the "Click on the OK button to start the scan" prompt on NT/XP systems, which was not properly removed in the 4.7.6 update.b) Changed the colour scheme of Trojan Remover's opening screen, and the background colour for the Trojan Horse Database screen.
Version 4.7.6
-----------------------
a) Changed the layout of the Active Scan screen.b) Added routines to detect and disable the multiple files dropped by the Kazaa worm KITRO.
c) Cosmetic changes to colour schemes throughout the program, removing most pre-set colours so the screens now adopt the user's chosen Windows colours.
d) Removed Trojan Remover's dependency on external Borland library files.
e) Removed the "Click on the OK button to start the scan" prompt that appeared when a directory or file scan was selected on Windows 2000/XP systems. This means that unattended scans can now be scheduled on these systems.
