I am really new at this hijack stuff. Like born today. I started with a problem where there was a microsoft window opening a number of times but hiding down below the screen and no matter what I did I could not bring it up. I am able to close it though. Occasionally I go to my home page and it will start to open then close abruptly. If I go to another like yahoo.com or something then the browser will open. At times I seem to end up places that I wasn't aiming at. Anyway my sister suggested that I come here first and ask for help. So that is why I am here. I am hopeing someone will take a look at what I have here and let me know what if anything is wrong.
Thank You
Bonnie

First download and run

CWShredder

then go to

A Good Place To Start

and do all the stuff it says.

You may find the problem disappears without having to do the HJT log posting.

I followed the instruction and everything seemed fine.I don't know if this a new problem or related problem. After running cwshredder,ad-aware, and spybot and not coming up with anything I did the following
scanned with bugdoctor and the results are;
97 invalid CLSID
3 corrupt help files
0 invalid shared tools
32 corrupt shared files
63 corrupt fonts
101 missing shortcuts

scanned with pc doctor oncall, results;
invalid activeX\com file (27 problems)
invalid activeX\com subsection file (27 problems)
invalid application path (4 problems)
invalid microsoft shared files (1 problem)
invalid windows startup (1 problem)
invalid uninstall information (8 problems)
invalid shortcuts 20 problems)

last I scanned with pcpowerscan, results;
105 missing sll/ocx/com classes
2 missing help files
32 missing shared files
7 missing or invalid installed fonts
23 invalid application paths
94 missing shortcuts or invalid path

I also did do a ckdsk.

I should also say that I didn't wait anytime after running cwshedder,ad-aware,spybot. I went right from there after rebooting and tried the above.
I can't say for sure if I am actually having any other problems now. It just bothered me that I came up with all these errors.

May I post my hjt file? Or at least assure me that the above problems are not going to cause serious problems. Please I would love to clear this up.
Thanks

I have not tried bugdoctor so I don't know how reliable it really is. I would suggest that you do a repair of Explorer and see what results come up after that.
You can do this by opening up add/remove programs in your control panel and clicking Internet Explorer. You should then be given the option of repairing it.
