Network Folder Access

Specs: Windows XP
I recently tried to map to a network folder on a server at my job. It came back as access denied. I'm worried that whatever user is mapped to that folder may see that I tried to access it. Could someone, other than the admin, be able to see from their pc if I tried to access a network folder they are mapped to?

They might just have cancel the remote access of their computer. Actually there are some computer that can access like the admin does. But they are just like a second on the position of the admin or higher. They have authorization to view the folder of the other employees.
