Netsh.exe error

OS: XP home
CPU/Ram: AMD 2500+ 224mb Ram

OK... so the cable guy installed our cable modem while i was away for work. My room mate said he had to add some drivers or something. *wasnt to descriptive. when i get back an error occurs now "The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc000142) click ok to terminate." at the top it says its an netsh.exe - application error. This error can not be cleared. its sitting at the bottom of my screen AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.

How should i fix this.

Have you tried using start>run>type cmd, the type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew (note the space between the g and /. For more information about netsh.exe go here;
