I accidentally downloaded Personal Antivirus and now my computer says I have a virus or trojan. The virus/trojan shuts down my computer and restarts it. A message says the virus will copy itself and find my passwords... I don't know what to do - I have AVAST (free version) on my computer - I don't think its working. Please help!

Use this manual removal guide:
http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-per...Or download an automatic removal tool from the above website.

thank you....
I did the first option that you told me which I think got most of the viruses out.
But now I have another problem:
When I reboot my computer (I did it twice) I got this message:
Error Loading
c:\progra~1\mywebs~1\bar\1.bin\m3plugin.dll
Could not be found - - What do I do??

remove mywebs if it is in the add/remove.
Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Hello Kadams, dont be worried, Personal Antivirus is a rogue spyware fake program. and it can be removed using a spyware removal tool or even manual removal guides are also available to remove it.
one thing, did you buy personal antivirus?if YES than forget they money you paid and remve personal AV, and if you did,nt buy thats good , never buy any program like personal antivirus, these are scammers. and you are using AVAST, thats a good anti virus but i dont think that stops and removes spywares. Personal Antivirus is a rogue spyware and can be removed using Anti-Spyware or by manual removal method. for removal manual guide or removal tool, i refer you to the site http://darfuns.com/spyware-removal/...
