Comment:

I can't get rid of a trojan (trojan.zlob) infecting my system. I'm using Symantec Corporate Edition AntiVirus, and I've followed the instructions, but it keeps reappearing every time I reboot.

I'd be grateful if anyone can help with this. Thanks!

Uninstall Norton, than get a copy of trial version NOD32 (www.nod32.com). It is trial version but fully functioned for 30 days.

turn off system restore,
reboot on safe mode (f8),
scan again with virus scanner,
scan with ad-aware / spyaware,
empty temp folders
and temporary internet folder,
empty trash
scan registry if needed for msmsgs.exe in system32 folder
or

"Shell" = "Explorer.exe, msmsgs.exe"
or "notepad.exe" = "msmsgs.exe"
