Internet speed tests register between 5 and 6 meg. But surfing the net for the past 2 days is brutally slow. Why is this? I ran spybot s&d, adware, and spydoctor, and nod. Nod found a malware but deleted it. Still slow, any suggestions will be much appreciated.

have you by chance got the windows firewall as well as another firewall working at the same time? You should only have one firewall, two would slow your PC down considerably.
