I get Inservice.g found by AVG resident shield when I run Adaware.Avg won't pick it up when I run test though.Neither does TDS3,Spybot,TrendMicro.Can't find much info on it-AWI is associated with it,and shows up from time to time in Adaware's main program folder in a cache folder which disappears, and reappears. That's where AVG shield finds it.I caught it long enough to find three files in it-one was AWI.exe...then it was gone. The only time AVG catches it is running Adaware,I tried running AVG at the same time as Adaware hoping the test would catch it but it blew right past.Resident shieid picked it up though and said to run Avg...while AVG was running.Would love to find a cleaner,or instructions before I format, and start over. Thanks for any thoughts.

tc59,
I found two links about the virus....
First link discusses the subject and provides a link for removal from Bill Sanderson (5/18/04):
http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:EacR6YdqXucJ:www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Scripting/microsoft.public.scripting.virus.discussion/2004-05/+Inservice.G&hl=en
Inservice.G = This is ad-ware from LOP.COM.

tc59,
BEFORE you goto the previous links that I provided:
Have you UPDATED Ad-aware 6.0 and Spybot S&D because those two should be able to get rid of Lop.com....
I won't trust the NoAdaware software....see the following link:

Well, first off-thank you, thank you, thank you.I never could find anything useful in my searches for this. After going to your links,I had a better idea what I had.Spybot and adaware are both updated, but spybot gave me congratulations no bad threats, along with a list of safe listings that I had been leaving(guess that'll teach me),and it was in there apparently. So I wiped them all out,and adaware is running without triggering AVG.Adaware never did pick this up though, and neither did anything else.Noadware found them, but I had to buy it to delete them.....no way-not till I have to.....When I saw that spybot was supposed to fix it too,I ran it again, and deleted everything it found-safe,or not.....so far-so good.I don't know why spybot called them safe, but all is well for now. Thanks again.

tc59,
I'm glad that you got rid of your problem....
Do also use Spywareblaster 3.2?
It will block certain sites on IE and Mozilla/Firefox browsers...
Here is a link:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html
Why not use another browser?
I have switched to Mozilla Firefox 0.92...
It is easy to use and it doesn't have to be your default browser to use it....when you surf the net....
I still have IE6 but now I rarely use it unless I need it for a website that I really need it for...

Had spywareblaster 3.1,downloading 3.2 now.I've been playing back, and forth from Firefox,Avant, and IE....trying to find one I like.I'm afraid that as Mozilla, and the rest get more popular-we'll have the same probs with them also-there's always someone trying to do damage to whatever they can...and they're good at it.Could be that I had enough blocks on here to keep the damage down.I never had hijack,or site problems that I know of anyway, and comp ran fine-except for about the last two weeks Adaware triggered AVG,and that was all I noticed. The searches were a pain-they would mention it,but couldn't find anything on the sites about it,but after you connected it to LOP for me-there was all kinds of info.Usually I can find this stuff, but this time I was stuck. Thanks again.
