Whenever I use the internet, AIM attempts to load. If I am already on AIM, an away message pops up with a link to a website, which also loads on my screen. A download window is opened, which is how i suspect the virus is transferred. I am using AOL 9.0 and Windows XP. Do you know of any way to fix this. Already one of my friends has accidentally gotten the virus before i could shut the away message off.

Get these softwares

1. Hijackthis
2. SpyBot

First run the spybot and see if the bug is removed or not, if the problem presists then run hijackthis and paste the log here. Also get a good AntiVirus and if you already have one, update it.

I will wait for the Hijackthis Logs.

I downloaded the 2 programs you recommended. I ran SpyBot and it found several problems but the AIM away message is still loading. I also ran the Hijackthis, and have posted the log below. Thanks for your help!
