windows XP)I think MY SON down loaded a very bad virus since my desktop wont show my icons and taskbar.i have to use (ctrl+alt+delete)and go through task manager.i have looked everywhere for a solution and found one that that can find the virus but it can't get rid of it C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtuusts.dll can SOME ONE HELP

It's hard to get rid of a virus if it's running. Have you tried to boot into Safe mode and run the anti virus scan yet.

Hold down f8 at boot up. If you get a stuck key message...just keep tapping it to get into Safe mode.

thank for the info but it dont work you see file is tide into winlog and if i try to rename it delete it are do anything with it it just wont let me tel's me to close the program down befor hand.but you cant close the winlog down as it's system file the anti virus i used to find it was F-secure
