hello, i have a couple of questions, but my first one is , 1)i have Norton Internet Security 2007 fully updated, and i heard that if you have 2 anit viruses that would be bad, i lately installed windows defender is windows defeneder an anti virus or anti spyware, because if its anti virus should i uninstall it??, and is nis2007 a good anti virus.2)my computer has been running very slow, i know i ahve 256 mb ram and i have two hard disks c which has 8 gb and 1 gb of free space(the used space is mostly system stuff)and d) which has 31 GB of used space and 34 GB of free space(which i put all the stuff i download in and gamesetc...)i scanned for viruses and found nothing, could my computer be slow due to viruses or is the problem that the c drive has little space , and if so could i move some space from the d drive to the c and could someone tell me how?? 3) if i buy ram will my computer be fast again? sorry for typing alot and thanks in advance to anyone who helps me, i would really like a step by step way to increase my c) size

Windows Defender is anti spy or malware.

You need more than 256 meg of ram.

When you post in future can you put some spaces in between your sentences. It makes reading your problems easier.

Windows Defender is an anti spyware program and should run just fine with Norton. Personally I would get rid of both and go with Zone Alarm Suite 7 which has both. Norton is a known system resource hog.
I'm not a hardware guy but IMHO your drive set up should be just fine.
I would also up your to at least 512 but 1G would be better

I would say, FORGET the ZA suite....Suites are just resource hogs and EXTREMELY slow.
My recommendation would be to get rid of Norton and install:
1- Avast Free AV
2- Comodo Pro Firewall FREE
3- Spyware Terminator Free
They work great together and DON'T rob your PC of all the resources plus give you ACTUAL real-time protection.

Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

Get rid of Norton with 256 of RAM. Better use Avast or AVG free antivirus, Comodo Firewall, which is also free and Spybot S&D antispyware. All free and all do not need much of ram, not like Norton..

thanks for the posts, anyways i like norton but as you said its a resource hog so i will buy 1Gb ram as i also need it for games, and the nis 2007 i got it cracked for free and updates and everything work so i feel comfortable with it although it is a resource hog, but i just like the way it looks. lol
