If your operating system is windows 2000, XP or Vista you can login by booting into safe mode (Press F8 at startup) and logging in as the administrator.

From there you should be able to change the password.

If you could tell me what operating system you are running that might help so I can find out exact instructions on how to reset the password for your account

ok, when the computer is turning on (just before it shows the windows XP spash) press F8.
When you do that, a list should appear. From the list select safe mode.
When you boot into safe mode, an account called "Administrator" should be listed. By default in windows XP, this has no password.
When you log in as Administrator you should be able to get access to the users and passwords thingy and change your password!
