Sometimes when I'm opening or closing something, NAV will have a little box put up down by the tray saying NAV is awaiting a scan of...(usually something to do with file or program I'm using) OK or Stop Scan. I always click OK. Is there a way where it will just always automatically scan those files so I don't have that thing popping up all the time? I've looked all thru options to no avail. Thanks.

As far as I know this is an advisory message - not an option - it usually means that NAV is waiting for access to a downloading/starting file/program so that it can be scanned. As it's an integral part of NAV it's probably not wise to turn it off even if you can - though I am not personally a fan of post-'03 Norton so I may be talking out of my ***.

Thanks. I knew it was just a thing letting you know, but I'm just tired of the warning. I don't care if it's scanning, I just don't wanna see it telling me it's scanning. If it can't be turned off, o well. Thanks.

I'd suggest going to the symantec site and emailing them about it, their online support is sometimes useless, but they helped me when I was getting a message about worm protection everytime I started itunes.
