It appears that my brand new computer also quickly found a brand new virus.
The computer keyboard has been hijacked and will not respond. If I try to type in a search box or anything else, gibberish is produced. Other letters appear or no letters at all. When the computer is turned on it also beeps repeatedly and incessantly. If a program is opened, the beeps come at a furious pace.
I ran Nortons and it found nothing.
I ran Spyware Doctor and it produced a result that said 140 some infections. Unfortunately, I cannot register the program since I cannot type in any boxes to purchase it.
Any ideas?

Hi Lawmoe
What did your antivirus program detect?
Have a look for Bios beep codes Here and see if it helps
I tested Spyware Doctor last week and I'm not a fan, it found several worms and a trojan that I know dont exist on my test rig
but some people swear by it!!!If any advice helps, please post back as it might help others.

Don't purchase Spyware Doctor, there are FREE programs available such as Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D (Search and Destroy).
With that many malware notifications, I would get one or both, boot the computer into Safe Mode without Networking, then run the scans.

Also you can go to trendmicro.com , they have a free online spam scanner that works pretty well as well as a free virus scanner if you want to use that as well .
