my Vista computer is typing by itself

September 18, 2010 at 18:27:40
Specs: Windows Vista
when typing in any area (whether it be in word or in a conversation on facebook or anywhere else) it starts typing random letters when I am trying to type something. it also brings up this find thing on the interert explorer and highlights all the letters that are the same that I have typed.

I have done clean up programs and virus checks and nothing has been found or seem to have fixed the problem.

It is happening more frequently now, atleast once a day.

Help please. Is it a virus or something? how do i remove it?

It will first seek out for something to type on,- the url of your browser or the ie search will pop up like crazy then media player and thud error sound. what's so weird is that even my second os which is linux behaved the same way, I thought this adware or virus is so wicked it can jump and infect my other os... I figured this could be a hardware prob, my KEYBOARD IS SCREWED. I unplugged it and borrowed another one. prob is gone completely! don't throw away that culprit keyboard tho.. mine was new (hated the fact that its 3 months warranty just expired) I figured there could be a short circuit somewhere. i dismantled it (careful or you will be looking out for scattered lost keys!) and put them back again. the contacts are displaced (i wouldn't know, I just re-assembled) plugged it in again... my keyboard and I lived happily ever after.

then again, don't bother... buy a new one hehe!

Bustin my PC is therapeutic

I had the same problem and turns out I had 2 keyboard drivers installed. I have multiple users here and someone added a useless keyboard driver. Problem solved.
