A few month ago, my laptop started to act strange. All of a sudden while online, it switch left & right button, and the click on the pad. I have to go back into the control panel and reset the default settings, and after a few minutes, it's back same way again.. Only while I'm online, so it has to be some virus/troyan whatever, that need the internet to operate. It happends both in Explorer & Firefox.
I've had Norton on this piece all the time since I bought it brand new, and it finds nothing.. In the beginning it was only the mouse/touch pad that had the problem. As of late now I also have certain sites that won't load. All I get it characters and numbers. (ONLY through Mozilla - not in Explorer) I can go in and manually delete all cache & cookies, and some times that fix the character problem, but as of yesterday - not even that helps, so I'm sure it's something within the Mozilla that causes it. And as I said earlier - it only occur when I'm connected to the internet. Thanks for the tip tho - Appreciated!!
It's not necessarily due to a virus/trojan. As a quick first check download and run MalwareBytes freebie as this often finds what AV's miss:
