dont knw where did it xactly come from i just noticed that the icon in front of my C drive had changed from that of a disk to something that resembled a virus and the name had changed from LOCAL DISK (C:) to some thing gibberish. i tried to rename it, but it would return to all the same. i have quickheal antivirus and firewall installed.i scanned the system, but it did not catch nething. then on my next boot, it booted alright, but, suddenly everything on the desktop disappeared including the taskbar nd the start menu, leaving behind, only the wallpaper. nothing worked except for the task manager!!! then the icons suddenly appeared only to vanish again!! this game continued for quiet a while before everything vanished. then i followed some links on similar blog sites and downloaded some spyware doctors.they scanned to give a count of a hundred or two infections.they were all removed.things got fine, that image of the virus vanished from the cdrive but the original was not restored.also the name is still the same gibberish, which does not change. also, once again, while working on net, taskbar suddenly stopped functioning and i had to use keybord shortkuts for working, but another scan and reboot helped. but i need a permanent cure nd dnt want to reformat. plzzzzzzzzz. i knw its too long for ne1 to give it a serious read, but plzzzz help!!!
