Since y'day, whenever I open Word or infact "Compose" page in any e-mail service provider, my pc starts writing words like "the" "for" "many" in quick succession. What could be the cause? What is the solution?

Have you ran a virus scan? What firrewall do you have installed? Have you noticed any unusual outgoing traffic detected by it?. I would go to the PC Flank website and run the trojan scan and their other tests. If it detects something try a trial version of one of their highly rated programs. There is also the free SWATIT from the Lockdown Corp that is a free anti-trojan program(it does not run in real time, but it is good for doing an initial check to detect a trojan). Take care!

Since you are using xp, check to make sure the voice recognition option is not turned on. If it's turned on, that's probably the problem. I have read several threads about that on the XP board.
