My PC is giving me tons of errors.

I had to go to the library and use their computer because my comp is screwed. Okay, when i log-in it tells me Windows can't check the liscense or something like that.
When I finially log-in all sorts of application errors pop-up. when i try to click a program an application error comes up. I use my computer for work, so I tried to burn all of my important files to CD, but the CD-burner won't burn
These problems seem to come out of nowhere. My PC was working fine earlier. please help me.

Don't want to upset you, but it sounds like either a nasty virus or an internal problem. Did you try to restart the computer in safemode to see where you get?
