I use winXP. Every time when I use internet, a window appears and tells me that the machine will be restarted in a minute and the count down is started.
I have heard about this virus.
Can anyone tells me the name of this virus?
How can I remove or disable this virus?

Thank you!

Blaster worm? Does the message say something like, RPC Service Failure, your computer will shut down in 60, 59, 58, etc...?
If it is the Blaster worm, you can remove it by using the Avert Stinger removal tool by McAfee. This is a free stand-alone program that removes the Blaster worm and about 40 other worms/viruses.

Hope this helps.

I think its not the Blaster worm, because when my machine is going to restart I get this message:

"This system is shutting down. Pleace save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shut down was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Time before shutdown: 00:00:51
Message:
The system process 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart."

Do you kow enything about this messages or this virus?

Go here and see if this is your problem.

If this isn't the problem, then I'm not sure what it is. I'll keep looking though.

Gubak,
I wonder do you have properly working firewall and antivirus program in your computer?

If not, post here if you can. Everybody here tells you links where you get them.

Your problem is a classic, and you must be last to know. Its a Blaster worm, as Joe said.
