My home page keeps changing itself

I had a virus that kept installinf spyfalcon spyware on my comp. biut i though i got rid of it using tips and programs from a site like this one, now everything else is gone that was from the virus except it wont let me change my homepage, everytime i do it changes itself back to http://www.safetydefender.com/ and i dont kno wat to do can some one plz help me

Since your homepage keeps changing, it sounds like you still have the spyware. If you havn't already, Google for Spybot Search and Destroy. Download that, as well as it's definitions and scan with it. BTW, it's free. Do us a favor by letting us know if this has helped you or not.

you may have to d/l HijackThis (make sure you make a folder in C: drive before you open the program for scanning).
Then maybe paste the results into
http://www.hijackthis.de/
and it will give you an idea of what might be wrong. You are obviously hijacked.

Are your Critical windows updates all current? Alot of people with alternate browsers seem to forget about the security holes and don't bother up-dating, thinking they don't have to

Take a look on SpyFalcon manual removal instructions. There should be the hpX.tmp file somewhere in your system. X is random characters. Deleting this file will restore your browser.
