my home page has reset to a search engine and i can't change it also it as put 5 or 6 shortcuts on my desktop. I have tried spybot Ad-aware CW Shredder & Hi jack this all find and destroy things but as soon as I restart. It's all back as it was! HELP! I know nothing about computers

I don't see Spybot listed there. If you haven't run it - then do so - here's how: How to Update Spybot 1. Click on 'Online' in the navigation bar, 2. Click on 'Update', 3. Search for available updates, 4. Select ALL available updates, 5. Select a download location nearest to you, USA usually works the best. 6. Download the selected updates. Updates will be installed without any further action needed. Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove/fix all it finds that are in RED SpyBot Reboot and see if problem is go, if not post a HiJackThis scan of your system so we can see what's causing the problem. After you have cleaned out the hijacker please consider downloading/install/run an anti-hijack prog like Spyware Guard or Spyware Blaster to prevent any more hijacks. Good luck V...

If you need more help than what has already been posted here, click on the link under my name and you can post your HijackThis log there. We will tell you what needs to be fixed. You probably did not fix all of the bad thinks if it keeps coming back.

Oh, and she DID say she used spybot already. ;)
