my hard drive filled up suddenly virus, worm?

November 9, 2011 at 18:02:32
Specs: Windows 7
I noticed my hard drive filling up, and now i am almost completely out of space. Virus scans have found nothing (I have windows defender, and I downloaded Sophos for an additional scan) but I know something has infected my computer. I keep getting messages telling me my backup has failed (not enough space on my cloud), but that is because something is taking up my memory, and fast! I'm afraid it may crash.

My most recent sophos scan didn't detect any "threats," but showed 24 "Errors" saying the file could not be accessed. 22 of them were variations of this:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys

and 2 more of this:

C:\Windows\System32\catroot2
