My Ex hacked me with a trojan horse

December 6, 2011 at 16:23:57
Specs: Windows Vista
I didn't realize this until kids noticed 2 laptops & 1 i-pad all had the same IP address. They explained IP addresses to me so I looked on the internet, this lead me to right-clicking correspondence in my mail - all mail <http><http> etc. but one from my x has scripting that goes on for pages. every file is being screwed with, also everything has shortcut keys,I have worked for hours undo-ing things, or setting default, when system restarts, everything comes back- also I am not allowed access to things.

If what you say is true, then your ex has almost certainly committed a criminal offence. You might want to get in touch with him to give him a chance to put things right before you contact the authorities.

there are also web sites that you may have visited, files downloaded, or movies watched that could have caused this same problem. (just as a caution, although it is possible that your ex had something to do with it) It would be difficult to prove at best, and if it makes you feel better, it is possible even if he sent it to you, that he was infected as well, and wasn't even aware of sending it.

You may be able to remove the total package of problems by returning to a previous restore point before the email, though you may want to print the email before that
