Hello Forums:

My computer was infected with the My.Doom virus a long time back, and it hasn't been able to access anti-virus websites since, such as Symantec, Panda etc. I was wondering what I can do to remove this?

Coliver,

Do a search of you C drive, for a HOSTS file. That's HOSTS, with NO extensions.

To see if this is your problem. Rename this to HOSTS.old Restart your computer, and try those sites again.

Now if you, or a progam you used, didn't make this file (if you know). It can be deleted. Or just leave it as HOSTS.old, and it will be ignored.

If still infected, stop/close all IE windows. Rename the file, and then try the sites.
