At apparantley random times whilst connected to the internet I hear the sound of a baby crying (from my computer !)
I don't know if it's some virus?
Scanning my system with my virus checker finds nothing.
Anyone heard of anything like this?

How do you Connect to the Internet - DialUp? - BroadBand?

If BroadBand is it Wireless?

I did read somewhere that if you have a Wireless Connection and if a neighbour has a baby-intercom then the Signal from that can be picked up

Don't know if that is true - only read of it once

Quite an interesting problem you have. I think Lesley might be right. But just in case if he isn't, scan your computer with an anti-spyware program. You can find a full list of reliable and recommended spyware removers HERE.

Broadband, but no wireless.

i've tried several anti-spyware program's only one finds somethig rated high risk, in some temporary IE folder. Went to DOS prompt and found and deleted them, but next scan they were back.
Only Spyware Doctor finds them, no other I have tried finds them.

Probably the Crying Virus that is so common on the Internet these days. Don't worry, it will quit in a little bit. Just turn the speakers off.

You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users
