So, about a week ago, I was on my laptop and in the bottom corner, I recieved an error message that my computer was being "ATTACKED" I had absolutely no idea what this meant, so i hit the "BLOCK ATTACK" option, and the message just would not go away. So I decided to try to restart my laptop. I restarted it, and now it will not turn back on. It will not boot up in safe mode, or any mode as a matter of fact. I was told that I could select Safe Mode, and then do a System Recovery, however I cannot get it to boot into safe mode. Then I was told that If I had the original CD then I could Repair the problem, However when I turn my computer on and choose System Recovery, which is an option when the CD is in the drive, it just freezes on the opening GATEWAY screen. I do not have the money to bring my laptop somewhere to get it fixed....and I need my laptop for school. What can I do?? Please Help!!!!! I would greatly appreciate it.

Start the laptop, tap F8 a few times. If you get to the menu, choose last known good config.
How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

even when I hit last known good configuration, it pops up with a blue screen so fast that I cannot read any of the information on it.

Reset the BIOS to defaults. Sometimes that works.
