hi people. i logged into msn and was asked the following question http://www6.imsector.com/m.php?m=&l... email address> those ur pics?

i clicked on it and my norton is on low setting and it installed something on my comp, next thing i know my contact list on msn has been used to re send the virus,

i cut the net and scanned my comp with norton and spybot, norton found nothing, and spybot found 36 files that were "redirecting" i removed them,

but i'm still worried its on my compter, and wonder why nortan didn;t find anything,

can anyone give me any advice?

Norton is not the greatest of an anti virus program.

Norton is anti virus.
Spybot is anti spy ware.
Norton wouldn't find anything because it was spy ware and not a virus.
I am not sure but i think this is why.
I would download Avast! and run a scan. Keep avast! after this as it is in my opinion much better than Norton.

Reply with any updates.

hi Nate93

i found a programme that scanned for key loggers, and it found one, i couldn;t remove the files and it had stoped me doing certain tasks like viewing hidden folders and restoring comp to a few days before,

so i formatted comp to factory settings, was i a fool to do that?

Plain old "AVG" freeware fixes and cleans more than Norton and is not the system hog Norton is or the configuration pain in the rear.
