Greetings.

I have just set up the parental controls for my son using MSN Premium. However, there are some issues I am concerned about. MSN states it will help me keep track of his E-Mail through MSN, the MSN browser and Internet Explorer.

The problem is my son uses Mozilla Firefox and has a Yahoo mail account.

MSN does not mention anything about Firefox or other e-mail accounts and I was wondering if anyone else knew if I will be able to keep tabs on these things?

I have requested information from my MSN provider but as of yet they have not responded.

Sincerely,

Steve M.

I don't believe this is possible. I worked at MSN for a bit, & at that time, inside parental controls there was an option to disable internet access to external programs -- so ONLY MSN could access the internet.

That was how it secured the system from external browsers -- but if that's not enabled, then you can just use FF to get around the restrictions.

But to the best of my knowledge, no, it's not possible to track FF using MSN.

Is there anyway to monitor Mozilla at all? I am not familiar with the program myself. Would a standard protection program from, say Best Buy or Circuit City do the trick?

Any ideas?
