My comp has been doing strange things recently so did a virus scan to be told i was infected by W32.Jeefo. I have downloaded the Jeefogui program but it will not clean 4 files. Does this matter? Or will the infection spread again? The svchost.exe file was deleted.

Pimpspalace, Follow the Removal Instructions at the link below for Windows ME including the part to disable System Restore, restart the computer then run your virus scan in SAFE mode. If all comes up clean re-enable System Restore.

System Restore is already off as i have had previous problems with vx2 spyware infesting the archives and have already (part) followed those instructions.

The last four files are not in archives or part of the startup process in anyway, except Jeefogui cannot remove the virus.

Hey, just a few minutes ago I got a file link from a friend. After I clicked it, it gave me the "Cannot find" page. So I asked him what it was, when I clicked it a second time. He said the he didnt send it, it was sending by itself. The second time I clicked it the window popped up saying "DO you want to save it as....or open it...". I cancled out of there right away and came to this site. The only thing I remember about it was it had "magicday" in the link, along with my email address. Is this a new virus? Thanks. By the way, nothing has happened yet to my PC. After I closed out of everything, I ran Ad Aware SE.
