Comment: Microsoft has released the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool to help remove specific, prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000. The Malicious Software Removal Tool supersedes all virus-cleaner tools that were previously released by Microsoft. http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=890830 Modo vincis modo vinceris

Reply: (edit)Is this the same thing as Microsoft AntiSpyware? I have the beta of that, and I uninstalled it before doing the Updates today. Is the final version of AntiSpyware available yet? Dell Dimension 4600i Windows XP Home v2002 SP2 Microsoft Office 2003 Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHz 512MB DDR RAM 40GB HD...If my computer's not happy, I'm not happy.

Reply: (edit)Wombat, No need to fret :-) Let's drink together :-) Matt, No it is a different one. mosaddique posted a thread with a LINK to the Malicious Software Removal Tool. This tool check for the presence of Berbew, Blaster, DoomJuice, Gaobot, Mydoom, Nachi, Sasser, and Zindos on your PC and remove it. The Antispyware beta probably will stay around until June 2005 at which time the program cease to function. i_XpUser

Reply: (edit)Has anyone heard whether this "tool" plays well with other software? I wouldn't want to have more sp2-type issues. Personally, Im happy with spybot.
