The following is from the M$ site
"If you are using a previous version you can simply upgrade to the refreshed version. The version number of the refreshed version is 1.0.509. To check the version number, click About Microsoft AntiSpyware… on the Help menu."
I do daily updates/update checks and yet my version is as follows
Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.501
This version expires on: 31/07/2005
Current User: Dog
Spyware Definition Version: 5707 (16/04/2005 9:25:33 AM)

Are updates not enough?
Suggestion/comments......

Hey Dog, mine shows:

Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.509
This version expires on: 7/31/2005
Spyware Definition Version: 5707 (4/15/2005 7:22:20 PM)

I recall I had to uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware Version 1.0.501 in order to install version 1.0.509.

Hi XpUser and Dog.... I checked mine too, and it is the same as XpUser's. My last upgrade was done seperately also.
Hope this helps a bit!

Hey per, I update/check daily. The definitions were current but the version wasn't.
1.0.509 has been available since mid February so it would depend on when you installed it. Mine was installed in January when it first released.
