Hi everyone,

I got a message from MS antispyware last night saying there's a new version available (I already had 1.0.613) and it updated me to 1.0.614, but now whenever I update my definitions it updates the same ones every time. I have rebooted and it still does it...is anyone else having this issue and are there any fixes yet?
Thanks.

Jen

Hmm...i've updated many client machines to this new version without a problem. So when you go to update it says a new version is available but when you download it, it downloades the same version you already have? If thats the case, do a complete uninstall, reboot and then download the program again and reinstall it.

sorry I guess I wasn't very clear. It's staying on the new version ok, but when I update definitions it's always updating the same ones (5 something 79...i am at work now), even though they have already been installed.

If you did an upgrade try uninstalling MS Antispyware, and then install a fresh download of the new version.

jen1979, you have to reboot after installing the new definitions otherwise every time you check for updates it will do the same ones over and over.......

I actually did reboot, and I tried all the other options but none worked. Thanks for everyone's suggestions though:)
