Subject: Mr Watson Postmortem DebuggerOS: Windows XP SP2CPU/Ram: 1 GB |
Comment: I opened up my inbox (Outlook Express)and an error message appeared saying that the program had to "unexpectadly close." So i chose to not send the error report, but once that error window disappeared, another one popped up saying that "MrWatson Postmorten Debugger has unexpectadly closed." This error continues to pop up every time I try to open up my inbox, and won't allow me to access the program. I googled it, and read that Mr Watson is actually a debugger that's already a part of Windows? But the "postmorten" part scares me. Well I don't really know much about it, but any information will help. I'm not sure how to get rid of it, since my antivirus software isnt finding anything.

Reply: (edit)Well I tried checking the logs, but nothing turned up. I guess i might have to just reinstall it. Oh I didn't even notice my mistake. haha but yes, it does seem a bit more befitting.

Reply: (edit)It goes way back to the Win3.0 days - I'm not sure if it's ever been much use (at least, not for me) By 'reinstall the program', you mean OE (of course) If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't, I'll just respond, cleverly--Donald Rumsfeld

Reply: (edit)Might consider disabling "The Dr." and see if you can access your inbox - if you're up for a little registry work If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't, I'll just respond, cleverly--Donald Rumsfeld

Reply: (edit)Yeah, I'm not a big fan of IE/OE, so I freely confess not much in the way of familiarity. At least disabling Dr Watson might tell you if Outlook is working or not. If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't, I'll just respond, cleverly--Donald Rumsfeld
