Comment: Help! A virus has infected my system and I can't find any info about it. Whenever I click on an MPG, Slotch.com appears instead of Windows Media Player and a LOT of spyware is installed. Even after I clean it with AdAware and S&D, opening MPGs keeps returning the deleted files. Any ideas?

Reply: Have you tried disabling system restore before cleaning? If not do so and then try opening an MPG before enabling system restore. If everything is ok, enable system restore and open another MPG, if slotch returns you may have to repeat the whole process, deleting the system restore points containing slotch before you can get rid of it for good.

Reply: Disable system restore then reboot. This will delete all your restore files including infected ones. Then run your updated maintenance progs AdAware, SpyBot S&D etc. etc Enable system restore on completion Good luck V...
