Subject: MP3 audio files duplicate and fill drive
Comment:

I have some MP3 files that copy themselves hundreds of times and fill my hard drive. I can't delete or rename them. They also shorten the name and insert a ~ in the name. When I look at the properties there are none. They also won't let me check the archive, hide or read only checks.

go into dos...

del c:\*.mp3

then load windows in safemode (f8 on startup)

then check the registry for anything in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

registry key for anything dodgy, and delete it.

I just got this too but not mp3 files but .exe and .scr. It puts them in the Temp/sys32 directory.
I either got it from Kazaa (it was acting funny at the time) or galaxy
