I have had the older speedstream modem for many years it works well. It is usin gmy USB port for my DSL. Recently I added a router and just plugged the DATA port from my Speedstream router into my wireless router. My laptop connnected with no problem without installing any software. and both laptop and desktop workes well. I noticed my Speedstream modem and wireless router lights really flashing fast when computer was idle. Does that mean someone may be inadvertently connected to my wireless and not know it. the closest house is 200 feet. I shut everuythiong off for a while and it stablelizes now.
