Missing t key on keyboard

Dell / D620

Specs: Windows XP, Intel, IGB
I had a strange experience with a
missing t key on my keyboard: I started
up an IM conversation with a Fidelity
consultant. As soon as the conversation
initiated, the t-key would not work. Not in
any application. When the conversation
ended, it was working again. (I am using
XP and Chrome on a Dell D620). Has
this happened to anybody else?

Now I did not have the same problem with the program, but it may be that you got some dust or some dirt particles in the keyboard and will not respond.

Is the key getting stuck, or is the "t" key easily pressed?

I had problems before with keys not working, and most of the time all I had to do was blow some air in.

You can buy a can of air spray for electronics at usually any store that sells computers.

Thanks for the response. No there was nothing wrong with the
key's "feel". I had the problem of dust or dirt before and that was
my immediate thought as well. However, I don't think that was the
problem. Fidelity has their own IM applet with security protocols
and tunneling. The moment the applet started the t-key stopped
working. When I tried it in other windows and applications it would
not work either. Until the IM conversation ended. Then suddenly it
was normal again. And it has not given a problem since either.
I am concerned that it could be a symptom of a virus or
