Having been invaded by some sort of virus (not sure which one, but it's sent out infected emails to addresses I don't know), I downloaded a free antivirus program off the web called 'Norman Virus Control'. I don't know if this has got rid of the virus, but now I cannot open my Outlook Express 5 in Windows 98,and I get the error message

'Windows cannot find osdyg.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'Application'.

Searching for the file is to no avail and on trying to cancel this it then says that access is denied and then:

'Could not load or run 'ptsnoop.exe' specified in the WIN.INI file. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the WIN.INI file.'

Can anyone pleeeease help?

You need to run the exefix on the computer that has the problem:

http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/4IE_Only/

You then need to open your win.ini file and search for the line that refers to 'ptsnoop.exe'. It may look like run=ptsnoop.exe
Change it to just run=
