Subject: Missing Mozilla fileOS: W98seCPU/Ram: P2/450/128/13 |
Comment: This may be a little OT, but you guys told me to get Mozilla.. I try to open it to set up, and it says: missing file: xpcom.dll. But xpcom.dll is right there, about 15 files down the list. How do I get firebird.exe to find it? Thanks.d

Reply: doghead: Your problem hasn't happened with my Firebird, but did to a friend of mine. Turns out though, he was running the 0.6 version of Firebird, not the newer 0.7 version. After downloading 0.7, no problem. If you're running 0.6, just update. Or if nothing else works, re-install Firebird fresh anyway. Best of luck, Solarian

Reply: doghead: Could be a corrupted download. The file may "appear' to be there, but the code's screwed up. Solarian

Reply: Better keep these posts to your OS forum as well. Regulars usually scan all the forums, so someone with knowledge of Firebird and, or Opera will get to you.

Reply: If you have a previous version, or have ever messed about with in the past and given up on Mozilla, Phoenix or Firebird. Take a look at this - xpcom.dll error Either way start a new thread in the 9x forum. And describe what you did and when you did it and how exactly you "uninstalled" it.

Reply: Thanks Viking, I will; but no, I have not had any dealings with Mozilla before this, it's my first download of Mozilla.

Reply: Well, I couldn't figure it, so I've got Opera 7 and 6 both running on desktop, I'll see how it makes out. Thanks.
