MISC Char on Drive

HI..


Can someone help me with my prob..

Recently some one has inserted IPOD on my pc and infected my pc with virus. I removed that virus but when I click on drive it comes with "Open with", so formated and install os again.

Now the problem is except c: drive remaining partation has same problem "Open with". with c: drive no problem. it got fixed when formate and remaining dirve (D, E, F) has same problem and when I Right click on Any drive there is Misc Character seems like chinese such as " ăӘΩ∂(o) ".

does anyone has any solution for such.

kcha123, You could try the "Drive" Association Fix for XP at the link below. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

kcha123, The only other thing to try if you want to is the tool referenced in the thread at the link below. There seems to be a rash of the same problem you're having going on.
