According to the link regarding the free MS antivirus it will be updated free MONTHLY.
That's not a very frequent update rate!!
I wonder if it will have heuristics/generic detections? JB

Reply: the monthly releases are updates to the free "virus removal tool" that ms is going to have available for download on the 11nth of
January. their anti-virus is a different program. and will cost $$$. in its final version.
